H120 Navigator Joystick defective
« on: June 19, 2008, 10:42:28 AM »
Hi all,
in my H120 the left switch of the navigator joystick is defective: it doesn't make the "click" and it doesn't come back promptly to the center. It is annoying...

Does anyone know where could I get a replacement switch?
I am a skilled technician, it is my job.

Thanks
Gianluca

You should try to catch LinusN (on IRC if he doesn't see it here) - I have some vague memory of him sourcing some many moons ago, but I may of course be dreaming :)

Unfortunately, I only have spare joysticks for iAudio X5, not iriver H1x0...  :(

Coincidentally, there is a current thread on this very topic in the misticriver.net forum, noting a source and 2 joystick models.

(Now, if only the joystick was plug and play, for us non-soldering types.  ;)  )

I was adding the RTC (Real-time) chip on my father's H120 (it's a gift for him) so I remembered my defective joystick. Now I have closed that player, but the Alps said in that forum seems to be just "him"!
I'll look for it in RS Components or Distrelec or other sources online.

Thank you for the precious info's!!!
