Thanks to the devs!

Just put the 32GB AData CF card (which I couldn't get Rockbox to work correctly with on the iPod Video I have) into an iPod mini that I got off of eBay (along with an extended life battery), and promptly Rockboxed it with a bootloader I found in the Hardware forum.

It's working GREAT. I'm very pleased. Donation sent to the project! Keep up the good work.

Extended battery life + 32GB of storage in an iPod mini sounds pretty nice to me.    8)

I haven't done a battery test yet, but all signs thus far point to very good battery life. I had it connected to my work computer yesterday for several hours in the original firmware for copying music from it, so it was fully charged. After a 45 or so minute commute home yesterday, a 45 minute run (listening to lame v5) this morning and about 100 minutes of commute (listening to an audiobook, mp3, mono, 22KHz, ~53k bitrate) today -- it still says battery @ 84% under the system menu. I don't know how accurate that reading is, of course.

Will try to do a battery test this weekend, if possible.

I'm more interested in real world as opposed to benchmarks, so please report! just a general impression is good

It's a 2nd generation mini.  The extended life battery is (claimed to be) rated at 900mAh.
