Tag in Floola vs Tag using Rockbox
brotherkeeper:
Hey there...
first of all: Thumbs up for this amazing app... finally a acceptable alternative...
My point:
After installing and felling happy, I realized that all the schanges to the tags of my mp3s made by floola were not recognized/displayed at the same way like it did before. iE this means that changed genres were displayed in the "old" way and not in the "changed" way. The same for all the other changes to the tags...
is there a db which has to be converted or is there another way of "marriage" in this case?
I tried to find a solution in the forum before, without result... Maybe somebody could give me a hand this way...
thx in forward

PaulJam:
Hi,
where do you see those problems? In the WPS (while playing screen), in the database or both?
What file types do you use (and what kind of tags do they contain)?
brotherkeeper:
WOW... that's what I call fast...
:-)
unfortunately in both... and the tagversion is ID3v2.3
PaulJam:
The metadata shown on the WPS is taken directly from the file, so the problem seems to be with the tags.
I could imagine two causes for such behavior:
Either the program only writes id3v1 tags and doesn't change the it3v2 tags (rockbox ignores id3v1 if a v2 tag is found).
Or the program only changes the apple database and leaves the tags in the files untouched.
brotherkeeper:
is there a db in rockbox? any solution? any translater tool? any alternative?
