Sansa c240 Battery

(1/1)

jnsc:
Hello Everyone,

Yesterday I had a problem with my Sansa battery, it doubled volume inside of the player. The case was to small so there was some space between the 2 parts (bottom and top) it's how I noticed it. It was quite hard to open it in order to remove the battery, but I finlay managed to get it out. After It was out, after a moment, it went back to it's original volume. and after charging it again it's still seem to work.

But here my questions, did someone else already face this problem? What may have caused this? Is it dangerous to use the player with this battery? Is this a known problem of this battery (maybe as with the DELL/Sony laptop batteries).

Thanks in advance
Jonas

I haven't heard of anything like this before...
But personally, i would be a little hesitant to be carrying it around in my pocket. What sort of batteries are in the C series? I own an e200, which contains what is basically a mobile phone battery (obviously this isn't going to expand).
Im just surprised that everything still works, perhaps an alternate power source would be the safest option? Strap a couple of D sized batteries to the back, im sure u'll get better run time aswell

Thanks for your reply, the problem is now solved as the battery isn't working anymore. I will try to find a new battery, or hope that some new ports make great progress.

Thanks again
Jonas
