ok i went on that and that still didnt tell me nothing at all, on how to resolve my issue, on exchanging on harddrives it is showing me a whole bunch of other stuff that doesnt concern me at the moment, im more concerned on what the effect might be, thats why i posted this and sent u an pm, im a very busy man, so dont be upset that i posted in the wrong forum, like i said this site is new to me, i registered not ago

Llorean:
And I'm telling you, right now, that as a member of the forums it's your responsibility to know the rules. You just broke them again in that last post. We ask that you use proper English, no "u" or "thx" or things like that.

If you don't familiarize yourself with the rules, you're going to end up with a lot less than an answer to your question, which is why I directed you to them. Take the time to read them.

Believe it or not, other people are busy too.  We all do this as volunteers in our spare time, in addition to work, families etc.  You cannot say "I'm busy, so you sort out my problem".  A little courtesy would go down well :)

LinusN:
The answer to the original question is: yes, it will work fine, as long as the hard drive is a single platter one.
