You certainly can get replacement batteries - I have a 2200 mAh (or maybe 2300 mAh, I can't remember) replacement battery in my H140 and get over 29 hours of runtime from it.

I used a ipod 1st/2nd gen battery (attention - you need to swap the wires as the polarity is different) which is slightly thicker than the original, but still fits.  You can also buy ones designed specifically for the h100.

I have no idea what batteries radio shack are selling or if they are suitable.

It's very unlikely Radio Shack would have the right sort of battery.  You'll probably want to look online somewhere (eBay or online retailers) for a replacement.  Try searching for "H120 replacement battery" in Google and check through a few of the results that come up.

Actually, replacement iPod batteries are not entirely uncommon. I've seen them at Radioshack before, I think. I've definitely seen them at Fry's Electronics. Now, finding a replacement battery for a 1G/2G iPod somewhere other than online these days is pretty unlikely though, you are correct.

You Guys were right, i took out the Harddrive for the mp3 player and it worked perfectly, it plays the songs perfectly, and it still has all the songs in it when i hooked the hard drive up off the Iaudio X5L to the Iriver H120, at first i thought that wouldnt work with this mp3 player because originally the harddrive for the Iriver H120 is 20 GBs but i found out it does work, wit the 30 GB harddrive, im so glad i did this ahead of time and did the right thing or else i would still be fooling around with the Iaudio X5L, which the power wouldnt have worked anyways, but im still thinking about getting a new battery for the Iriver H120 i may use the same one i had on Iaudio X5L, because it has an extended battery life, and i may also need to get a new AC DC adaptor for the Iriver H120, although it works a little bit i have to hold down on the adaptor for it to just charge the Mp3 player
On the sidenote, im glad i did this, because i dont have to walk around holding the mp3 player in my hands worrying about it dropping, because i got the remote for the mp3 player, im glad i made this thread ahead of time though, thanks for the advice

Please try to use things like sentences - punctuation is your friend.  I got a headache trying to read that post.

Anyway, I think the correct response is you are welcome.

I wasn't objecting to how much you had to say, just saying that the stream of conciousness style of writing is very hard to read.  Splitting ideas into sentences with full stops makes it *much* easier.

Anyway, this has veered off topic, so lets stop now :)

As for the adaptor, the H100 is *very* sensitive to the correct voltage/polarity being used - if you use another one you will very likely fry your player.  Many people have done this by using a Nokia charger by mistake for example.  I would suggest trying to find an original, or at least one designed for it, or be *very* careful to check the specs before you use a different one.
