I bought now E260 sansa problems installing rockbox....

i trying to install rockbox in hold status and its was fine ...
but when i on the sansa player rockbox not boot .. just sansa firmware ..
what i can do ? i tryed everything installed again / remove ... i read the manual its didnt helped me . thanks for help

Have you tried using the Rockbox Utility?  Did you install both the Rockbox firmware and the bootloader?  Did you verify if it's a Rhapsody model?  A v2 model?

verify if it's a Rhapsody model  - what this? ITS a v2 model..    and i didnt installed boot loader....
i intsall rockbox in hold status
its dont let me in normal status to install..

If it's a V2 model, Rockbox can't run on it. Sorry.

Because the v2 Sansas have entirely new hardware inside, and no existing Rockbox port will work on this new hardware.

Rockbox Utility can detect a v2 and tell you that it's not compatible. How did you try to install?

Well, if some people find out how to get it done and do the work, yes. But that depends completely if there are enough people doing the work. Check the New Ports forums, there is a thread about the v2. Oh, and noone in here will estimate time frames.

i run in hold status and installed rockbox .... i press SELECT ! and make hold and installed rockbox...
i must get the rockbox pls!!!
its my brother birthday and he so wanted rockbox firmwire!!

I'm sorry, but we already said it: if the Sansa is a v2 model, Rockbox will not work.

If he wants to use Rockbox that badly, get him a supported device (see the BuyersGuide page in the wiki).

1. It's possible Rockbox will be available for the v2 models at some time
2. Nobody knows when this is going to happen.
3. No developer will make an estimation when this could happen.

Is this so hard to understand?
