Add new keymapping to rockbox?

Hey,

Im new to rockbox coding and I was hoping I would be able to remap some keys on my sansa e200.
For example, could I make the record button a shortcut to the clock?
Or make the clock come up when I slide the hold key across?

I have lots of time on my hands  ;D so Im willing to learn how to compile etc to do this. If possible, it would be great if you could provide fairly detailed instuctions.
If you do, I shall love you forever. jokes lol.
