Help with rockbox installation (ipod 80gb windows)

well I downloaded the rockbox for ipod 80gb & installed the ipod patcher & I put my ipod in diskmode then plugged it in then I extracted the .rockbox into my ipod then I clicked on ipod patcher but it said [err]no ipods found,aborting :'(.
many people have this problem but because they made some mistakes on the other hand I did what I was instructed in youtube the funny thing is that in the video everything is fine!!!! so why don't I get detected ???!!! I mean the ipodpatcher why doesn't it detect my ipod though it is in diskmode.

First: Are you sure you have an iPod Video, and not an iPod classic?

they are the same I read them.
but youtube gives visual tutorial which is better thats all. yes I have ipod 80gb 5gen & it is not classic I know ipods for sure & I have ipod 80gb video.

What serial number is your iPod (on the back)? Just need the last three digits.

It is very much not better - instructions can change, and we have no control over what some random person sticks on youtube, in fact they are usually completely wrong.
Back to the point, please supply the serial number digits Llorean asked for, and in addition, are you running ipodpatcher with admin/root rights?
