sonic impact v55 supported?

I purchased a sonic impact v55 7" LCD that works with my ipod video 30GB player.  If I install rockbox can I still use the sonic impact player?

Thanks for the reply.  The sonic is not listed there, but I assume from this statement, "Many accessories for the iPod which connect via the dock adapter do not work with Rockbox.  This is because they use Apple's proprietary Apple Accessory Protocol, which is only partially documented, and not implemented at all in Rockbox."

Hence my assumption is it will not work.  Is it even worth a try?

There is a good chance audio-out will work, and a good chance charging will work.  (You should try with and without enabling accessory power in the menu.)  There is no chance video-out will work within Rockbox, and no chance remote controls will work unless you try the work-in-progress patch.

Thanks soap.  I read through the patch you referenced. 

That patch may address the controls, but video out will still not work, correct?

I am pretty sure from both your posts that video out will not work, even with this patch.  However in order to contribute back I am going to install the patch and test it out on the sonic.  MarcGuay I followed your wiki instructions to set up cygwin, compile, and patch (very clear docs, thanks).  I will test it out later tonight and post back the results.
