e260r Load error!

I tried to install Rockbox onto my Rhapsody with these steps:
Download e200rpatcher.exe
If you want to overwrite the Sansa bootloader completely with the rockbox one to save boot time, use this. NOTE: Do this ONLY after you have OF.mi4 in your SYSTEM folder and have unzipped .rockbox to your Sansa's root (see Installation from Windows); you should perform all of these steps EXCEPT copying pp5022.mi4 to your Sansa. Then, run this version of e200rpatcher to complete installation.
WARNING: If you overwrite the Sansa bootloader completely with the rockbox one, you will lose recovery mode and will have to use e200tool if something goes wrong.
Download e200-manufac-driver.zip and extract it somewhere on your computer
Attach your e200R to your computer in manufacturer mode (turn on the hold switch, hold select and plug in USB while continuing to hold select for about 10s)
When Windows asks for the driver, point it to the folder you extracted the driver zip file to
If Windows does not ask for a driver, it means that it has installed one automatically and you must follow these steps before continuing: (For Windows XP, other versions may vary slightly)
Right-click on My Computer, select Properties, go to the Hardware tab, and enter Device Manager.
Under Universal Serial Bus controllers, right-click USB Mass Storage Device (or something similar) and select Update Driver.
Select "No, not this time", then "Install from a list or specific location", and then "Search for the best driver in these locations" and click the "Include this location in the search" box. Now use the Browse button select the location of the drivers and click OK.
Run the e200rpatcher.exe file and follow the prompts. Your Sansa should have some text on the screen. If the last line says "(something) aborted" then head to the forums and look for threads relating to your problem.
If it says "Firmware Unlocked, Proceed to Step 2" then it was successful and you can continue.
I stopped there, disconnected my device, and when I rebooted it, I got the:
"Load main image failed
Switch to Recovery mode"
message.
I tried fixing it in recovery and manufacture mode. Neither worked! Plz help!

Did it say "Firmware Unlocked, Proceed to Step 2"?

The point is that the message says to proceed to step 2 if it says "Firmware Unlocked", otherwise, come ask here... So it's kind of important what the message said. Did you see the link to step 2?

yes, but before I could do step 2, I had to recconnect. When I rebooted, it brought up that screen. Now it won't let me do anything. When I try to leave rec. mode, it just stops on exit usb2.0 msd.
I have to take off the battery

Okay, I'm not sure (I don't own a R model and have never done the installation or recovery), but you might want to just return your player to it's original state by following the instructions here:
http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SansaE200Unbrick#Recovery_Mode
Please heed the warnings and only copy a valid mi4 file to the drive.
P.S. If you search the forums for "load main image failed", you'll find other people who've been in the same situation as you, and who have been guided out of it. It seems that it's possible you don't have a genuine rhapsody model.
P.S. Part II - You never have to remove the battery, holding down the power/menu button will eventually turn the player off. More useful information can be found here:

I have tried everything on that page except the one with the bootloader! I can't find the bootloader for it though. Did I mention I formatted in recovery mode?

So you copied a Rhapsody .mi4 file to the player while in recovery mode and rebooted? What happened? Did you read the other forums posts? Did you try recovering using a regular e200 .mi4 file, given the chance that you don't have a real Rhapsody model?

I have put a sansa.fmt file and a .mI4 file on there so many times! They are e260r files. I know because I got them from Sansa. I think the problem is me formatting 16 Format while in recovery mode from my computer.

No, that should be fine. I think the problem is that you have a regular e200 and not a Rhapsody series (read the other threads, it seems to be what generally causes this error). Try putting JUST a regular e200 mi4 file on the 16MB recovery partition, or wait for someone with more experience to come along and help you.
