compound ogg not working on nano 1g 2gb

(1/1)

myrt:
when I pick an ogg file out of the file browser, now-playing iterates through every file in the directory, spending a split-second displaying each one (plays no sound). mp3s work fine until i try to play an ogg, then they don't play either (they don't flip through the directory like the ogg will, they just sit silent with "play" displayed and an end-time of 0:00). rebooting makes mp3s work again.

context menu shows correct file name playtime/length information for ogg files.

i'm running r17673-080601 and this is my first rockbox install; i'm using loader2.

per this thread, these .ogg have all tags stripped: http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=16301.msg121888#msg121888

and the volume checks out fine, no apparent corruption; the ogg files play fine in vlc

EDIT

I've just gotten another .ogg file to work, something must be wrong with the ones i've been testing with. Is there a bitrate limitation or other detail i'm missing that could cause some .ogg not to play?

EDIT 2

The ogg files that don't play correctly are compound files, more than one audio segment concatenated by the file's table. I guess ie6:png::rockbox:ogg

EDIT 3

subject updated. Not sure if this is a bug or not, the files are within ogg spec and play in foobar and vlc just fine

saratoga:
I don't think "chaining" oggs is supported in Rockbox.  However, since we don't support loader2 here, you probably shouldn't ask for help trouble shooting while you're running it.

That answers my last question, thanks
