archos jukebox recorder 20gb - memory size?
(1/1)
william7:
I have archos jukebox 20gb with 2.0 USB
But how check the memory ( in rbutility are 2 archos recorder 20gb - one with 8 mb memory)
MarcGuay:
This page might help you identify which one you've got:
http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/DeviceChart
Unfortunately, though, the terms don't seem too consistent. I don't see any mention of "8MB" in the device chart for the Archos models... I'm sure there's someone else who can help you out...
pixelma:
All stock Archos Recorders have 2MB of RAM (working memory, if I can say so in English...) and the DeviceChart just shows that. You can only have "8MB memory" (RAM) if you have done a hardware mod or got a modded model.
The builds for the standard memory size will always work but will give you less runtime in case you have such a modded Recorder because the disk has to spin more often to refill the buffer. The 8MB builds will crash on a standard Recorder - similar to the Ipod Video with 32MB or 64MB RAM.
