Themes do not work without different, now unsupported builds
Mavrick593:
Many of the themes I have come across require the EvilG build or a scroll patch. I can't patch at all and from what I've read the EvilG build is no longer supported and won't work with the current daily builds. Is there any easy way to get the appropriate patches with the current builds or are these themes forever considered 'broken'?
Thanks
Llorean:
Those builds were never officially supported, and were always considered "Broken" in terms of "What works with current builds." You can always compile your own build with patches, or attempt to fix the themes to work with the way the official builds handle themes.

Also, a lot of the theme I have say they should work without any modifications to the current build. I'm using an iPod5G with the current daily build. The now playing screen on the themes in question is just two or three bars straight across the background; no special WPS. I don't think it's the build problem any more because everything I've read says that those were basically incorporated into the current build. Any ideas?
Llorean:
Many of the patches in unsupported builds were rejected, and alternate means for doing things were chosen. If a theme required an unsupported build, you'll have to figure out for yourself which features it required, and if there are ways to get them working in the official build.
If the theme is supposed to work with the official build, use the CustomWPS wiki page to figure out if any of the tags are bad.
Chronon:
The WPS parser has become stricter about syntax over the last year. It's quite possible that the themes in question have errors in them.
