Video but no audio on Toshiba Gigabeat
« on: May 27, 2008, 12:59:50 PM »
Basically thats the problem. Videos play perfectly on my F10 Toshiba Gigabeat but there`s no audio. I already tried installing rockbox all over again but it doesn`t work. Take in count that music audio is working perfectly and that the videos do have audio because I`ve tried playing them on my computer and it`s perfect...

Any Help Would be Appreciated!
Thanks

And what audio format is the audio within your videos encoded in?  The need to be correct - see www.rockbox.org/wiki/PluginMpegplayer

You could try GSpot to find out which audio codec your file uses: http://www.headbands.com/gspot/

Thanks everyone who tried to help! Here is how I solved the problem, just in case someone else ever has the same problem:
I downloaded the winff converter, and converted my .flv (Flash Video, downloaded from youtube in my case) to rockbox format, don't ask me what format is that because I definetly don't know.

Again thanks to everyone who cared! ;D

The PluginMpegplayer page both says:

Quote
It is currently capable of playing back MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video streams with MPEG audio multiplexed into .mpg files (MPEG Program Stream) and raw MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video streams.

and suggests the use of WinFF....
