Installation Rockbox in iPod 5.5 G

I have already followed instructions in rockbox manual for the installation. and I've already loading to the rockbox. but right before the file browser appear, there are messages that no .rockbox directory and installation incomplete. can anyone suggest the solution of my problem?

Make sure that when you browse the drive corresponding to your iPod, you see a directory .rockbox in the root, e.g. Z:\.rockbox
If you are using windows, unzipping the build can be done by right-clicking on the rockbox.zip file you downloaded, selecting "Extract All", then browsing to the drive corresponding to your iPod (Z: in the example above)

in my PC (i am using XP), iPod drive is F: and i have already extracted rockbox.zip in to F:... and .rockbox directory is already there. i am so confuse why installation is not complete... ???
before i install rockbox, i have ipodlinux in my ipod. is that mean i have to remove the ipodlinux first??

If you are installing under gnu/linux, make sure you did *not* use mkfs.vfat to format the data partition. If you did, format it again using mformat. Apparently mkfs.vfat has issues when formatting 2048 cylinder filesystems.
