Adding music
(1/1)
Maelstrom:
Hi everyone,
Now, I've just got a question... I guess it might be quite embarrassing in it's simplicity, but nevertheless I must ask it.
I watched a little video online with some guy raving on about Rockbox and decided to give it a go. I basically wanted to install it so I could play different types of audio files (ie .ogg, FLAC etc).
The installation was a success! The problem I'm having is transferring the files over. The guy on the video dismissed it by saying that you simply drag and drop. But to where?
I opened up the directory (the iPod_Control folder) and saw that all of my music was, mysteriously enough, in the folder named Music. I entered the folder and was then suddenly perplexed.
What's the deal with all the F00, F01, F02..... folders? Am I in the completely wrong place? How do I add additional music? ???
Cheers,
Maelstrom

AlexP:
Copy them wherever you want, for instance make a new folder called Music in the root of your iPod. All the F01, etc., are because itunes stupidly changes the filenames and sticks them in random folders when it syncs.
Rockbox places no restrictions on what you do, stick them where the hell you want :)

Cheers for that guys! ;D
