Video Is slow

My video's are playing very slow using Rockbox vs iRiver firmware.  Is there anything I can adjust to have it play with out delay in the video? ???

What settings did you use to encode the video?

That is a good question.  I used a "iverter" convert into avi but other that I have no idea what encode means.

Rockbox does not play avi (which is a container not a format anyway), only MPEG1/2.  See www.rockbox.org/wiki/PluginMpegplayer
