conditional viewports.. FS#9027
JdGordon:
hey all.
test the patch http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/9027
JdGordon:
bumpage... the patch is now very usable... we need wps artists testing it out to fix any quirks before it goes in (or we might not bother commiting it if there is no interest...)
crzyboyster:
I look forward to this feature. This will allow album art conditionals with viewports, correct? I think that cabbiev2 can be tweaked using this... and it would be nice for other wps'.
I can't test it out, though, because I can't compile...
ZincAlloy:
cabbie 2 doesn't need it at all. I'm working on an updated version using viewports. At this point I have only finished the h300 version, though. Text and pictures can already be positioned independently from each other, wich is all that is needed for this theme. I simply put everything into one viewport.
Viewport conditinals can make things a lot easier when drop shadows for album art are used, though (I tried that on my brushed metal theme). They are needed when the text needs more than one viewport (for example when custom line spacings are needed) or viewports need to be condtional for other reasons.
crzyboyster:
Hmmm. I think that some versions of cabbiev2 could use some text repositioning (moving the title, album, artist and next song text up or down) to give the progress bar and the "now playing" bar some breathing room...
I thought that this couldn't be done without viewport conditionals? And I don't think shadows under album art will look good in cabbiev2.
