Resume  playback resumes the dynamic playlist

Sorry, I didn't understand?  Stopping the music will indeed bring you back to the file browser, at which point you go find some new music to play either by simply selecting it or by inserting or queueing through the context menu.

Yes, but if you insert something new it will start a new playlist.
