Hi, I install today rockbox (rbutilqt-v1.0.5.tar.bz2) on my Ipod Nano (1st generation) from a GNU/Linux system. Tre procedure (Automated Installation) go good. After 3/4 hour of use (settings theme, play music, create playlist, load music, restart to apple firmwire, etc) the ipod don't start (it seems died). It not even shows the apple logo (not responding to the reset sequence). It isn't recognise by the OS (linux or windows).

Thanks for the help :)

P.s. the battery is charges (70/80%) before died

Sounds like a flat battery or wrong battery readout by the OF. Try
- giving it a long charge -- the OF bootloader (which always runs upon startup) sometimes reports a wrong battery state
- reset it, even if it looks being dead. Don't forget that you need to hold the button combination for quite a while.

Thanks for the answer. I try to charge all day and reset, for now nothing happens  :(

Chronon:
Make sure you hold the key combination for long enough.  Sometimes when the unit freezes it can take upwards of 30 seconds for it to respond to the hard reset.

Today (after a night without charging) the ipod re-birth  :). Thanks for the answers and help  ;)
