Why can I not get cover art to display? [not quite Fixed]

(1/1)

V96GLF:
What am I doing wrong here?

iPOD Video, using Cabbie V2 (although I've tried others as well), and I've manually placed a 100x100 cover.bmp into the correct directory - but it isn't displayed.

I have yet to see any cover art on Rockbox  :(

(p.s. Apologies if I'm in the wrong forum, but I have searched and I can't see anywhere better)

jswetzen:
Are you using the latest build?
Are you sure you haven't misspelled cover.bmp in any way?

You just have to check and recheck that everything is right.

V96GLF:
I removed the .rockbox folder completely, (re)installed the latest build and it sprang into life.  I guess something must have been in the wrong place.

Thanks  ;D

Arwym:
I am having the same problem.  An I have the 'current build' installed.  Should I try re-installing, too?

V96GLF:
I've discovered something else significant - which is how to break it!

If I install other themes, then the cover art stops working.  So if you've done the same, then try what I suggest above: remove the .rockbox folder completely, and replace it with the current build ONLY.  Test if it is working BEFORE adding any extras such as themes.

I haven't had time to investigate exactly why that happens and whether it can be worked around (or perhaps I'm doing something wrong when I install the themes), but I'll try do do so at the weekend.
