This isn't a Wine support forum, but it's pretty obvious from that error message that you need to grab a copy of MFC42.DLL

I'm forced to wonder why anyone would want to use a windows program, from linux, to do batch resizing of images.
"convert" from the ImageMagick suite works just fine - I used it to do all the album art on my players...

I should note that I installed Irfanview onto a Windows PC, then simply copied the data from "C:/Program Files/Irfanview" over to my Ubuntu PC. Also, I installed Wine through the "Add/Remove" feature.
