Logitech MM50 Portable Speakers for iPod

I am using an iPod Video 80GB G5 and was thinking of buying Logitech MM50 Portable Speakers for iPod. http://the-gadgeteer.com/review/logitech_mm50_portable_ipod_speakers.

I vaguely remembered reading something about the dock connector not functioning with Rockbox. Is this true or does audio output via the dock connection work properly.
