Ipod Video Disk Mode Problem
« on: May 11, 2008, 10:20:53 PM »
I just got rockbox to work today, but now whenever i hold the select+play to go to disk mode it says "OK to disconnect." Rockbox works fine but i have an ipod car hookup that takes over all ipod functions so i can only control it with the radio. Will a hard reset work or am i SOL on getting the original ipod mode to work.

I think you are just confused about some things.

That "OK to disconnect." message is disk mode.  Disk mode simply allows you to have the iPod behave as an external storage device when connected to a computer.

To get into the original Apple firmware, you hold MENU+SELECT, then flick the hold switch on.

No worries. You should read the manual (link is on the left), as this is explained in section 3.
