Can't get chinese working

(1/1)

davidw89:
I installed Rockbox (latest one) on 1st generation ipod nano
I have tried enabling unicode/cihnese language etc but it doesn't work..
I tried using Unifont and switched the language to Chinese-Simplified and it doesn't work (the words are in box :?)
How did they get it working like this:

markun:
I don't really know what the problem could be. Choosing unifont and a Chinese language file should work. For the tags of your audio files you need to choose the correct code page.

Maybe you can find some help on this wiki page:

I have the same problem, finally I make it work through the below setting,
1. -Settings -General Settings -Display -Default Codepage -Simp. Chinese (GB2312)
2. -Settings -Theme Settings -Font -18-Fixed
3. -Settings -General Settings -Language -Chinese-simp

then it's working.
