apple 5.5g 30gb ipod help with rockbox install.

I know how to install rockbox and I've done it several times. However every time i do it, it seems as though it's loading fine. However it reaches the main menu and then freezes. I can't scroll and none of the buttons work. However I just reboot using the orig. firmware and uninstall. maybe its a problem where the buttons just are unresponsive?

I'm having the exact same problem: 5.5G 30GB, Rockbox r17488

Boots to the main Rockbox menu, at which point the iPod's controls are completely unresponsive.

Please help!

I don't know if it's a glitch or what not, but I sometimes have a problem where everything is frozen as well. this only happens when I put my iPod into hold and un-hold it and press the select button. So maybe you guys can try putting it in hold, then un-hold it and scroll the wheel. Other than that, I really don't know much.
