Rockbox won't work trying to hook up to HDTV or Cable box

I just purchased a Samsung HDTV and now have a new cable box
which accepts USB (as well as the TV). I'm trying to hook up the Iriver H10 which has
a dual boot so that I could listen to music through my stereo but it does not seem to sync.
An ideas on how I can get this to work?

What exactly are you trying to do?  Does the cable box have some way of reading the H10's hard drive and playing back audio files it finds on it?  If so, you might need to boot it in UMS mode so it's seen as a hard drive and use the cable box's software to browse the drive and play back the audio files you want.  Otherwise, I'm not sure what you're trying to do.

Why not just plug your player in through a headphone-to-RCA connection, and run rockbox on it as regular?

this wont work... the TV if you look, has a USB port with the word UPGRADE near it... the cable box has a USB port for the Cable CO. may soon also accept a Keyboard for searching programs... neither will actually read anything from a Hard drive (well... the TV maybe, but it wont really do anything with anything that isn't its firmware file, and usually it has too be on the top level...) sorry dude
