i was just wondering what the advantages would be for getting lame and voicebox.  And also i was wondering if anybody had simple step-by-step procedures on how to install it and set up everything, i will be graciously appreciated!

There is a Wiki page explaining just how to do that:

http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/VoiceHowto

As far as the advantages of turning on those features, it depends on whether you ever need to operate your device without looking at the screen, e.g., while driving a car, while keeping it stashed in your pocket or a back pack, etc. Between the voiced menus (which don't require the voicebox script) and the speaking of folder and/or filenames (using little mp3's that voicebox generates for you), you can do just about everything "eyes-free".  It's great for the Blind community, but has its uses for sighted people sometimes, too.
