Fully charged iPod - low battery screen (was: NEED HELP EXTREMELY IMPORTANT)

hey guys, i downloaded rockbox yesturday and i absolutly love it, it was working perfectly and i was getting ready to listen to my ipod on my way home from school, and when i went to turn it on it gave a low battery screen which is wierd cause i just charged it and hadnt yet listened to it, and then it died and i cant get it to recharge or turn back on... anyone have any advice?

Reset your iPod by pressing and holding the Menu and Select buttons simultaneously for up to 30 seconds.

thank you its now charging but for some reason the battery life says 94%, and as soon as i take it off the charger it redies, any advice?
