Newb need help...

Okay so i just finished installing rock box on my 30 gig ipod video. Well Rock box boots fine but when it gets to the selector screen ie : Files, databases, resume.... it does nothing, i cant scroll or select anything. Ive tried uninstalling, and reinstalling, nothing... Any ideas what im doing wrong?

That is an odd problem I haven't seen before.
Let's throw some shots in the dark... ;)
1 - This is an iPod video (5th gen) and not a 30GB iPod color/photo?  (Just making sure you have the right build on there.)
2 - Assuming this actually is a 5th gen iPod, just want to make sure you have the specific build for the 30GB, and not accidentally extracted the 60/80GB build.
3 - Last but not least - want to verify this is an official and current build acquired from this website?

was the scroll wheel acting funny before you installed rockbox? i'd try a 'hard-reset' if i were you: Leaving hold OFF on the iPod, hold 'Menu' and 'Select' until the apple icon appears (sometimes this takes a while or a few attempts), if .rockbox is on the root it should load....is it the same?  When you plug the ipod in is it recognised by your computer?
