winff settings for sansa e250: a question

I downloaded that winff program that a lot of you recommended for converting my videos to the proper mpeg format to watch on my mp3 player. I read the thing on here about screen size and frames per second, but there are other settings that i didn't know what to put so i ended up with audio with no picture on my converted file.
 can someone tell me or post a screenshot with the exact requirements for the sansa e250 for the winff program so i can use it correctly?

Take a look at what it is you need, and you can adjust the settings accordingly.

ok that filled in a few boxes.
HOWEVER......
i looked all over the page you linked me in the previous reply and i could not find what to fill in for

"convert to"
"video bit rate"
"aspect ratio"
"audio bit rate"
"audio sample rate"
am i supposed to check the boxes for....
"2 pass"
"deinterlace"
"display ffmpeg command line"

ive always been pretty good at figuring out video converting stuff, but i dont know what specifically is required for my sansa e250, because i found an mpeg file and threw it on the sd card and it only showed half the picture which tells me i gotta be specific on the parameters.

if i know what to fill in for parameters on those i should be good to go.

The whole point of the preset that's specific for your player is that you really shouldn't fill in ANYTHING unless you know the default is wrong.

ok. that being said what do i put in the convert to box?
would it be "MS Compatible Divx (Mpeg3)" ?i have to choose one of the options to continue and im not really sure which one to pick. i wouldnt even ask but it takes like 2 hours to convert and thats a long time to wait if i picked the wrong one.

Frankly, we didn't create that software. The PluginMpegplayer wiki page tells the specific settings necessary for a video to run in Rockbox. Other general video questions, like what two-pass encoding is, belong on a video forum. Is there, or is there not, a preset for the e200 with Rockbox in that set of selections?

unfortunately no.its a shame someone hasnt developed a software with the presets for the different players built in. if i knew anything about writing programs i totally would, but thats not my area of expertise. I know you didnt create the software, i was just hoping someone who has had success might be able to drop me a line on this.
As i suspected i set it for mpeg3 and changed none of the parameters and it wont pull up the video on my e200. at least the conversion process is running faster now.
If anyone has an idea of what i need to do just let me know. ill keep plugging away myself until i come up with a solution to this problem otherwise.
and thanks for your help everyone, even if you dont know the answer i appreciate you trying to help.
im a musician by trade and learning this stuff it taking a while but ill get there.

As i suspected i set it for mpeg3 and changed none of the parameters and it wont pull up the video on my e200. at least the conversion process is running faster now.

I just downloaded WinFF .41 (the version recommended on the PluginMpegplayer wiki page) and there is no option for "mpeg3."  There IS an option for "Rockbox" which then gives you the option of a number of different players including two options for the e200 (one for a 4:3 aspect ratio and one for a 16:9 aspect ratio).

i bet thats what it is. i dont see a rockbox setting so i must have an old version. ill see if i can find an update.
