fnt.dll question

(1/1)

Konig Drache:
I was looking for a free easy ttf -> fnt program when I found out that Windows is supposed to be able to do it with fnt.dll.

I searched my computer and couldn't find it.
So I just downloaded it.

I'm guessing you put it in the dllcache folder under windows/system32 which is where I put it.

Now how do I convert ttf -> fnt using this dll?

Llorean:
This really isn't a Rockbox question. First off, our .fnt format is a custom format. You'll need to convert to BDF, then use our tool to convert from it.

Second, questions about files you got elsewhere should generally be asked of the people you get the files from, in the future.

Konig Drache:
Well considering theres no off topic forum to post it in, this is the closest I could think since it has to do with customization with fonts.

I'm really getting frustrated here, I can't find a WINDOWS and not a mac or linux program to convert ttf to bdf.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Llorean:
There's no off-topic forum specifically because we don't want off-topic discussion here.

Fontforge and otf2bdf both have windows versions.

Konig Drache:
Ok got it all figured out, thanx to http://rbthemes.com/fonts/.
