Problem with my iaudio X5/X5L
« on: May 04, 2008, 02:27:21 PM »
i dropped it a while ago, and it has a problem turning on and off, and when it does turn on it still goes on the Rockbox..on their, and it still has all the files i previously put on it, the harddrive is in good shape, and it still transfers & it plays the songs every once and a while but it still has problem permanently playing the songs without trouble when i turn the volume up or down it doesn't stay playing or it might freeze, only two problems that im having with it, the trouble of it not turning off and on without problem, and the problem with it playing songs without a problem..can someone give me some advice on this?

I don't have any really good advice, but you could always open it up and look for broken solder joints.

It is possible that the circuit board has cracked, so when you push buttons it creates an open circuit. Fixing a cracked board can be very difficult.

I think that may be one of the problems because i been facing that alot lately, and the mp3 player even stopped the song i was playing and started playing again, but the main problem i am facing now is that i am getting a white screen whenever i turn it on, it won't show the booting up screen and before i dropped the mp3 player it had both sides to the mp3 player the regular iaudio side and the rockbox side....i just want to know if this will work, if i take out the harddrive from this mp3 player and hook it up to my I river Mp3 player will it work? or will it have a bad effect, because i am tired of dealing with this and im thinking of using that alternative
