Is this Normal or do I have a problem? I need some expert HELP!

When I plug my e250 in to my computer via USB, the original Sansa Software seems to flash on for a second then  ROCK BOX loads. I see all these things listed and one of the lines at the bottom looks like it says something about Trying Firmware Partition?

It stays on the opening ROCK BOX screen then it flips over to the SANSA software FM STATION SCREEN where it looks like it might be Recharging?? Who knows - the little battery icon is moving back and forth.

Sometimes I will get a pop up message saying my computer can not recognize the USB and it asks me if I want to trouble shoot.

There is nothing in my tray showing that I am connected by USB. Going to My Computer - Nothing is showing.  SO my question is - for the USB to show up on my computer - does it need to be us MSC MODE??  Or AUTO Detect?

If I turn my player on and plug in the USB the USB Picture will show up on my screen and it seems to freeze - time doesn't change on the clock. If I unplug my USB connection - the UBS picture remains. I can not turn the unit off or recover - THE ONLY WAY IS TO POP THE BACK AND REMOVE THE BATTERY!
Also - sometimes it will show the old Sansa CONNECTED Screen and it will freeze as above - same recovery - yank the battery out.

By chance is there a video or how to add play list?  Or how would I go about it if I wanted to save an entire CD to later listen to?  For example - Pink Floyd - The wall - I only want to hear this CD - not everything that I have on the player by Pink Floyd?  I haven't been able to figure it out - Be gentle - I am very new at this!  THANKS!

If your player crashes, you can reset it by holding power for 10 or 15 seconds.

USB isn't enabled in rockbox yet, so you need to reboot into the retail firmware to use it.

You may want to look at this:
