Llorean:
How did you put the songs on the player? How are you looking at them to see if they're .mp3 or .sat? What button are you pressing to try to play them?

vanman:
Thanks for bearing with me Llorean!  I opened the file where my music is stored on the hard drive. a folder which indicated they were mp3.  i didn't see any .sat files.   I have been trying to get wmp to sync with the gigabeat but it will not recoginize when I click refresh.

On RB I go to files which shows all the music files. press the right side of the cross which singles out the song then press the center of the cross to play, nothing happens.  I can feel the Giga working but no music.

Llorean:
"a folder which indicated they were mp3" <-- What, exactly, do you mean? Did you open it with your computer? Can you play them with your computer?

vanman:
It is saved on my J drive which is where I keep all my music it is located in a folder marked Van's music and yes I can play music from there.  Although I have the same songs loaded in wmp it opens and plays from i-tunes

Llorean:
I meant "can you play the song from the file on your MP3 player." That means browse into the MP3 player from My Computer, and try to play the song by double clicking it.
