« on: May 01, 2008, 10:22:37 PM »
Okay, I've gone through the many steps over and over again...  :-[

And it's all come down to the installer finding my sansa e250R in MTP mode while in recover mode

I no rhapsody is MSC mode so I tried that and it still recognizes it in MTP mode.

please help

Are you following the instructions on this page: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SansaE200RInstallation?

I see no mention of recovery mode in the instructions... Could you explain what you've done and where you are stuck a little more clearly, please?

I'm using the automatic installer...

I tried manually tons of times and bricked it like 3 times

I tried manually again I get stuck trying to change the driver...

It says: The wizard could not find a better match for your hardware...

cancle or try again.

ALERT! E200R isnt supported by rbutil. The Bootloader install differs from e200

You're going to have to do it the manual way.  Take it slow and follow the instructions carefully.

Select "No, not this time", then "Install from a list or specific location", and then "Search for the best driver in these locations" and click the "Include this location in the search" box. Now use the Browse button select the location of the drivers and click OK.

I don't know what else to say.  You extracted the drivers from the .zip file to a folder somewhere on your computer (step #2), right?

I assume you have to complete the process (next?  OK?  I can't see your screen and have never done this myself).

What does that mean?  Finish updating the drivers and run e200rpatcher.exe.

What if you choose "Don't search.  I will choose the driver to install."?

Then tell it where to find the driver using "Have Disk"

I don't have one of these, but this is something I would try.
