How do I get error codes after a crash?

I know what OF means...  I just don't understand that you occasionally get kicked into the OF from Rockbox after Spacerocks crashes...  That shouldn't be possible, because Rockbox doesn't touch the OF at all while it's running.  The only way you can get into the OF is to reboot and hold down whatever button it is for your player that tells the Rockbox loader to load the OF instead.

That being said...  I don't know if plugin crashes pass error codes like the main firmware does when something buggers up.  I would suspect if the plugin crashes and the screen freezes, you're out of luck.  Write a bug report describing what happens and what you were doing at the time on the Flyspray tracker and hope someone looks into it, I suppose that's about all you can do with this...  Some others may experience the same thing, or have an idea why it might happen.

   Sorry about that.
As far as the OF goes, perhaps I was going to far when I said "reverted to the OF"... This I know:  The screen freezes for less than a second, then a Sandisk image appears on the screen, and no buttons do anything, except a LONG power-buttun hold.
It's the same Sandisk image that I see flash a couple of times during a normal boot (into Rockbox), and IIRC it's first image displayed when booting with a brand new player.  Was it wrong to use the words ("reverted to the OF")?
I just reproduced the crash a few more time, and on one of them I did see an error message (it was gone pretty quick).  Maybe it's there every time, but VERY breifly.

EDIT:  What's the difference between 'official' and 'original' firmware?

karashata:
I suppose it's not wrong to say that, but...  Why would your Sansa try to reset itself when the game crashed..?  That doesn't seem like normal behavior...

Either way, I'd still recommend you put a bug entry on the Flyspray tracker with as much information and detail you can give so the devs or someone with a clue can look into it/try to reproduce it/eventually fix it even, maybe.

Man that was a fast reply.  I tried to edit my post fast.

Oh, and if anyone's looking here's the flyspray http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/8926

Llorean:
Please do not file bug reports on modified versions of Rockbox.
