XP and sdhc card

(1/2) > >>

jcwiseesq:
I've searched the forums and I can't find out if XP will read the sdhc card in my  Sansa e250 using USB. Is this correct? I've got build 32.10 installed on my Sansa. Would that matter?
I can cut and paste from the Sansa to the card so I know the card is good and the unit can read it.
thanks for the help!
I love Rockbox!

addendum: the SDHC chip shows up under Windows Explorer but I can't access it to copy files to it directly under Windows. Rockbox doesn't allow that feature, yet. thanks MarcGuay.
I need a compatible card reader or just use the copy paste function from the Sansa itself.

LambdaCalculus:
I have absolutely no idea what you're asking or saying.

Can you please rephrase what you're saying? Also, where did you get that build number from? Rockbox builds aren't numbered like that at all.

MarcGuay:
The short answer is no.  The Sansa firmware doesn't support SDHC and Rockbox doesn't currently have a USB mode of it's own.  When/if it does, though, the answer will change to yes.

with the sansa v2's, sandisk says that with the latest firmware update, SDHC is supported.  that may also be the case of the v1's-- simply try to update your firmware and see if that works.

Llorean:
Rockbox having its own USB mode won't magically make the SDHC card visible to windows. If I understand correctly that just makes it *possible* but some more work needs done.
