Problem Downloading Themes(ipod nano)

i am having a problem download the "Dark Geek" theme to my ipod.how exactly do i download it?sorry,i am a rockbox and computer n3wb =-/.

On both of my systems (XP and Debian Etch) I only have to extract the archive to the root of my player.  In other words choose 'Extract All' and then select my player as the destination.  I have heard that the default archiver on OSX complicates this by renaming directories sometimes.

Of course you can also download themes using Rockbox Utility.

I am trying to download the theme using rockbox utility,but there is only a few themes to choose from in the utility. How do i download themes that are not in the utility,using the utility?

Weird.  I just downloaded Rockbox Utility and told it that I have a nano.  Dark Geek is on the list of themes.

Thats weird.....Dark Geek isnt on the theme installation for me.Is there anything else i can do?

I don't know if it's a version thing.  You could try the latest version of Rockbox Utility (1.0.5). 

You can also just download the theme and extract it manually.

actually the problem with OSX is, that it can't merge folders.

Okay.  So if a folder already exists then the content is extracted to a new folder with a different name?  That's a good detail to know.  It's an odd shortcoming, in my opinion.

You can't.
Rockbox Utility only downloads themes from the (semi-)official theme site rockbox-themes.org. But if that theme is avaliable there you'll find it in Rockbox Utilities themes list -- those are retrieved from the themes site directly. There are only two possibilities if you don't see it: (1) you have selected a wrong player, or (2) it's a theme for an unsupported build. As far as I know the theme site doesn't host any themes for unofficial builds anymore, so (2) can be ruled out.

Of course you might also have issues with your network connection and the themes list isn't retrieved correctly but I doubt that.

Can someone show me step-by-step instructions for extracting it manually?Sorry for being such a pain =-/.

"Open" the theme's zip file.  (XP has support for .zip built-in.  You can also use 7-zip or any other archiving tool.)

"Extract All" to your player.

With regard to Rockbox Utility, can you verify that you have selected the correct model of iPod?  Which themes are listed?
