What is finally working?  Is this skipping issue still happening or not?  (You're speaking about it in the past tense which is confusing).

Also: How did you install Rockbox?  What revision are you running?  Is the problem something similar to what this user is describing: http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=16515.0?
