Display filename instead of Tags

That sounds an awful lot like the default folder structure/file name setup that Windows Media player uses... but it sets those up from the tag information from the file in the first place...

That's just a coincidence, I'm sure.  There are certainly a few programs out there that will parse a file's path according to user-defined filters and use the information to create/populate metadata tags.  Amarok, for one, can do this.
