Yikes, maybe I'm missing something.  Quite a hassle to scroll through each menu rather than just pushing bottom part of the scroll bar.

I'm not very clear on what you mean.  How do you intend to traverse a list without using the wheel?  I do not recall a method of scrolling through a list without using the wheel in the original firmware either.  I am not sure what you mean by "pushing bottom part of the scroll bar."   ???

Apologies for not being clear.  On the face of unit, you have the 4 button (touch pads) - top, right side, bottom, left side.  The bottom pad is where I would normally push to navigate through songs.  Perhaps I can change the functionality of these?

Bonus question - installed through website.
