Playback does not start [solved]

Hi,

I use rockbox for some Weeks now and had no major issues until the last update of the rockbox version (for the iPod Video 5.5G) .
The problem: After turning my iPod on and trying to resume the playback, nothing happens. The Playback-Screen appears and I see the name of the song etc. but the song is not going to play! If I rewind a bit, I can hear a squel-like sound. The playback only works if I change the current track.

How can I solve this problem? Did I do the update wrong ? I just copied the new .rockbox folder onto my iPod replacing all the files.

What is the exact build version you're using? Go to System > Rockbox Info to find out.

Does the problem happen only with resuming playback?  What happens if you select a new file to play from the file browser or database?

yes the problem happens only while trying to resume playback AFTER turning my iPod on. If I select a new file to play, it plays :D

You might want to try resetting your settings.  (You can save your current configuration first if you want to have the option to return to it later.)

Ok I've reset the settings. Since Yesterday, I have no major issues except the battery-life time. I've fully charged the iPod via the ... what's the damn thing called ... ehmmmmm ... I've charged it not via USB  ;D and listened to less than 10 songs. I now have 43 % "battery" left ^^

You mean from AC power via an adapter?

The percentages might very well be wrong, especially for the newer iPods.
