alright, i have no idea what happened. first i love this ROCKBOX!!!!!!!!!! second when i was searching itunes, i noticed that my music was gone, itunes did not even have that graph showing the amount of music was on there, but when i use rockbox, i can play my music. also when i use the original OS there is no music at all. please help, thanks

saratoga:
If you want to play music in the apple firmware, you'll need to add it using iTunes or similar software.  Installing rockbox does not change how Apple's software works.

carlospizza90:
apparently it does to mine. on apples firmware, there are no artists, songs, anything ???. i even reinstalled everything again.

LambdaCalculus:
Apple's firmware uses a database to find files on the iPod. This is something that we don't touch, look at, breathe on... nothing. Plain and simple: we do not change anything that the Apple firmware does. At all.

tdtooke:
If you had music on it that you previously loaded via iTunes before you added rockbox and now rockbox can see that same music but iTunes and the original firmware can't then your database is corrupted.  You can use foobar or other things to rebuild an iPod's database if that is what has happened to you.  Just a guess at what you're really driving at.

Edit: You might want to rethink your thread title.  "Can no longer view library from iTunes" might be better.
