To answer you question, more detail is needed.
Have you read the manual?
What device are you using?
What build are you using?
Are you using the database?
Do you have album art named properly?
What is the exact text of the error?

well since i don't know what about half of the stuff you're talking about is that's probably my problem

I'm using a 5.5G ipod
I'm using the newest rockbox build, i think that's what you meant by build
what do you mean by the database?
and about the album art i don't know what you mean so I'm probably not.
and when i try to use pictureflow it starts loading saying
"Preparing album artwork"
but when it gets done(which takes like two minutes(is that to long?))
it gives me an error messages saying no albums found and then stating that i have a plug in error.

Ahh,
You need to have album art for your albums:
http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/AlbumArt
and PictureFlow doesn't appear to be in the manual, but is in the wiki:

plus most of those programs don't work on my computer because i'm using linux
and all it does it show the album covers right?
you can't actually play songs and stuff like you can with coverflow on ipod 6.0 right?

While most are hold-my-hand Windows programs there is both an Amarok solution and a bash script solution.

In the core OS?  Not likely.
In the form of the existing plugin solution - but with the ability to launch playback and build playlists from the pretty pretty screen?  Possibly.  Just would need someone to do it.

To the best of my knowledge nobody outside Rockbox distributes any plugins.
You can search the patch tracker for unfinished ones if you feel up to compiling them yourself.  (Rather easy, great instructions in the wiki.)
