Audio book best practices
« on: April 19, 2008, 03:32:00 PM »
I read the manual, honest.

I am trying to emulate the default Sansa OS behavior with regard to continuing play. I know it is possible, I just have not been able to figure it out.

I would like to be able to turn the player off and have it return to the same spot with in a track when it is turned back on. I did it originally by pausing the player and letting it time out. When I turned it back on all I had to do was press the play button.

I enabled auto-playlists but they start back at the beginning of the track. Some of the tracks are an hour long and it blows trying to fast forward through the track.

Any other tips on audio book usage would be appreciated as well.

You can't just hit the "resume playback" option on the front menu?   What file format?

Ah, I used to have this problem too. What build are you using? It was fixed for me in the current build. I suggest you update and then try to re-create the problem.

I honestly do not know how I missed that. I was so tied up with playlists and databases it never dawned on me....

More reading on the way.
