iPod 5g 30Gig: iPod will not turn on.
« on: April 19, 2008, 02:15:14 AM »
I just freshly installed Rockbox the other day, and it was working fine, but then it turned off for awhile and then I tried to turn it back on but to no avail. I spent a long time trying to reset/hard reset it, but nothing worked, so I left it on the AC charger overnight, then tried it in the morning and then it worked. But then later on that day, I left it alone after stopping a song that was playing and came back to it later, and it would not turn on...I tried the same thing I did before(putting it on the AC stand and trying to start it hours later) but it won't work...help? D:

Sometimes it can take quite a long time to get the key combination to work.  Flick the hold switch on then off -- then hold the key combination for up to a minute.  Hopefully that fixes your problem.

Thank you very much ;D ! I had a similar problem (mine ran out of batteries and wouldn't turn on, even though I tries to charge it.) I held sown the key combo for about 5 seconds, and it worked! Thanks! ;D ;D
