mpeg player

hey...
the problem with the mpeg player on my ipod is that everytime i select an mpeg video file, it hangs and i have to restart the ipod...is there any way to correct this? please help

We'll need more information, like how you created the mpeg files, what iPod you have, details about the mpeg files (bitrate, mpeg1 or 2, audio bitrate, etc).
