Cross fade, pitch, Playback issue

I would suggest that he probably isn't, since that was committed LONG over 2 months ago, so couldn't possibly be what he's referring to if he's saying the problem is only over the last 2 months or so. As well, I'd really like to know where he got the name "metatag project" from, because I've seen other people referring to such a thing.

karashata:
Oh, my bad...  Perhaps I'll see if I can't find out what people are talking about.

yapper:
The mention of '2 months' seems to be inaccurate, if a previous topic from the same poster can be relied upon:

--- Quote ---I use crossfade a lot with pitch range 105-110 without problems. Helps to play songs faster especially for techno kind-o-stuff. But...... all builds upto sometime around end september were fine. ...... Unfortunately, there's some problem in all the builds thereafter i.e. the entire "november" builds.

EDIT:
I've tried crossfading with pitch in the range 105-110 on a number of mp3s of varying bitrates (80-320kbps) and have not encountered any problems with r17196.

Yeh, Sorry ! I was talking about the metadata on Buffer project. I guess I got the phrase wrong. But as I said, all builds after around 2007-11-27 to be accurate (after the MDB project was initiated) have a problem with crossfade if you use any pitchshift above 100%.

By the way, there's no build r17196.

I tried even yester day's build r17164 - has a problem

I've tried resetting all the settings, no equi, no extra bass, treble settings nothing. When you crossfade into the second track with any pitch shift the 2nd track begins playing erractically, with ugly gaps then starts playing normally. I'm an avid user of rockbox over 2 yrs now - I cannot go wrong on this one. Besides if  I use my 2007-11-27 build its perfect with or without pitch shift.

Any feedback ???

Llorean:
Rockbox is up to r17203 now, and there was a 17196 at the time of his posting. You are aware of the "Current Build" page, correct? The most up to date build comes from there, not the Daily Build page, which is for archived builds.

Seriously though, if this is the same problem you reported in the other thread, why did you start a new thread? You got an answer there.
